Our first pamper party blog……..

Here it is…my first pamper party blog.

I am hoping my blogging will be somewhat more than ramblings about our countryside pursuits packed tightly within my car searching for a remote country cottage hen party destination. Or perhaps all those times when my Sat Nav says, ‘recalculating’ when we are circling around Manchester City Center looking for another one of those ever popular Appart Hotels where the postcode is the least of your worries….have you ever tried to get in to one on a regular basis? Then please spare a thought for us with three portable treatment couches, five suitcases and probably something in the region of 400 towels.

Since our pamper parties started a couple of years ago we have been all over the North West to some beautiful locations. Just a few of these have included Capesthorne Hall Macclesfield, Didsbury House Hotel, Toft Hall and of course countless county cottages set in beautiful surroundings where our hens have wanted something a little different from the norm. No bare legs, bad fake tan and L plates for them, they usually prefer a nice glass of something fizzy whilst having some much needed pampering.

So what better place to start than the pamper parties we did last weekend for Yvonne and Sam.

Yvonne decided to host a surprise birthday party for her friend and hired a stunning countryside lodge in North Wales just outside Llangollen. The lodge was for eight people for three nights and we had been called in to do an afternoons pampering for the ladies prior to their night out. Massage, nails and facials were the order of the day with Angela and I doing timed 30 minute massage slots to begin followed by an express nail bar in the living room. When not being treated the ladies were hopping in and out of the outdoor Jacuzzi fizz in hand. Now that you can not do in a spa hotel.

The Champagne was also flowing……

Once we had completed our treatments Angela and I said goodbye to the ladies and packed up the car. This is the time of day where Angela always says how lucky we are to have such lovely customers – and we truly are. We are also lucky not to be shut away in the clinical surroundings of a beauty salon or faceless spa, so in true Angela Bateman style we took some photos of Llangollen and the surrounding area on our way home.

The following day saw us heading to Bramhall for Sam’s hen party. On our arrival we were treated to a glass of bucks fizz and made to feel very welcome. Sam and I had hit it off immediately on the phone so Angela and I were really looking forward to meeting them all. We began the session with our Mini Back Massage, followed with mini manicure and pedicure accompanied by Orange Zest hand/foot massage. Sam had organised for her little nieces to have some pampering too and judging by this little snapshot they certainly seemed to enjoy it! (you can just about spot the little painted toe nails)

Once again a lovely day was had by all and whilst we were packing up our equipment Sam came through and thanked us both for helping to make her hen party so special. On her nails she had a light polish from my Essie Collection called ‘fed up’ a hero polish that is ideal for bridal. She was delighted with the results so fingers crossed it stayed put for the following weekend! Big thank you to Sam for having us and as promised here is the picture I took of you all at the end of the party……

So there ends my first blog…..thank you to those customers who have allowed us to take photographs at their parties and homes. Thanks also to Angela for always being a good sport despite many late nights, hard work and support.
